Head of Production
We are looking for a Head of Production to join our award-winning production team, supporting the Executive Producers across all organizational and logistical aspects of productions.
The ideal candidate is an experienced Line Producer or Production Manager who’s ready to put their skills to work across the company, bringing an unparalleled level of organization, rigor and communication skills to the role.
Co-lead all production kickoffs with the EP
Enforce the production guidelines; while also looking for opportunities to strategically update or evolve over time.
Oversee and support freelance production teams to ensure productions are executed smoothly including, but not limited to, all hiring, payments and paperwork.
Ensure all proper finance and expense procedures are followed correctly.
Full budget and financial reconciliation and responsibility, working closely with the finance team.
Work with the Finance team on ways to optimize, streamline, reduce wastage in the production management workflow and systems.
Help to translate and root Production Management best practices within the Post Production and Creative teams for hybrid team projects.
Support EPs in bidding and establishing a project’s production approach as needed
Completing bids, checking other team members bids for accuracy, errors or efficiency opportunities.
Source bidding producers when necessary.
Track workload across the department and support operationally as needed with tools and resources.
Track production and director calendar to ensure it's up to date at all times.
Assist in maintaining and evolving the production folder structure and project organization.
Maintain a robust network of freelance producers, PMs, and crew.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
5+ years experience Line Producing and / or as a Production Manager
Extremely organized
Solid US wide Union policy knowledge
Overview of individual State tax incentives
Eagerness to learn and work with emerging technologies
Positive can-do attitude, ability to work within a large global organisation
Extensive vendor, crew, agent and industry related contacts
Management of freelance production teams
Familiarity with post-production processes
Critical-thinking, negotiating, and logical reasoning skills, especially under pressure
Dedication to rooting out issues and finding smart solutions
Experience working in a high volume, fast paced production environment
Legally eligible to work in the United States
WHAT WE OFFER
Salary range of $110 - 140,000
